How to convert HEIC to JPG
HEIC is the default photo format on iPhones and iPads, and Apple devices love it because it stores the same image quality at roughly half the file size of a JPEG. The problem is that HEIC files often refuse to open on Windows computers, Android phones, or most photo editing apps. Converting to JPG gives you a file that works everywhere.
BoltConverter runs the HEIC to JPG conversion entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your photos are never uploaded to any server: the conversion happens on your own device, so even large batches of vacation shots stay completely private. There is no file size cap and no queue to wait in.
Select your HEIC file
Click the upload box or drag one or more HEIC or HEIF images from your computer directly onto the page.
Conversion starts automatically
The converter runs in your browser the moment files are added. No button to click, no upload to wait for.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to the internet?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your photos stay on your device and are never sent to any server.
Is there a file size limit?
No. Because conversion happens locally in your browser, there is no server-side size restriction. Conversion speed depends on your device, but large files work fine.
Will the JPG look different from the original HEIC?
HEIC and JPG are both lossy formats, so there is no meaningful quality loss in the conversion. The resulting JPG will look identical for all practical purposes.
Why are my iPhone photos in HEIC format?
Apple switched iPhones to HEIC by default starting with iOS 11 to save storage space. You can change your camera settings to capture in JPG instead, but existing HEIC photos still need to be converted.
Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?
Yes. Select or drag multiple HEIC files at the same time and download them all as JPGs.
Does it work on Windows and Mac?
Yes. The tool runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. No app or extension required.
